Female Parliamentarians Workshop

We partnered the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to provide a capacity strengthening platform for the Social Democratic Female MPs of Ghana’s 8th Parliament from the 26th – 28th March 2021. Specifically, the MPs were taken through the basics of social democracy, the social and gender justice perspectives of their parliamentary work, the burning issues of the 2021 Budget Statement, and above all, the construction of an ideal Social Democratic MP.

Clearly, the session revealed the need for further specific sustainable engagements on most of the issues raised at the session.

The Capacity Strengthening Session which is an initiative of Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang seeks to provide spaces for engagements on the dynamics and nuances of constituency, party, and parliamentary work within the framework of social democracy.
